Me, it's always windowed mode, as wide as the screen, but slightly smaller on the vertical. Still, I see a lot of people talking about "alt-tabbing out of EVE" and such... so I wondered, how many of you still (for some unknown, obscure reason) play EVE in fullscreen instead of the much more practical windowed mode ? And if you do play fullscreen... why ?

Nah, doesn't really count You don't have to alt-tab out of EVE, you just move the mouse out.

It's called sampling. I suspect the sample will be slightly biased towards non-fullscreen mode users.
Quote: What's "much more practical" about windowed mode? You'll find part of your answers there.
Hmmz... wheere do I start ? You can use whatever IM/voice program you prefer OOG while still watching what goes on ingame. Easiest to run multiple clients on the same machine. Nothing that might pop you out of fullscreen mode (minimize EVE in the process) can disturb you. And so on and so forth.

If you select a windowed resolution exactly as wide as the desktop, you can manually position it so that you have no left nor roight borders, and only a 2 or 3 pixels border on the upper side. That's how I do it, anyway. Like this : Linkage.

exactly what I was thinking. Akita T= most arrogant poster in eve.
Pfft, everybody knows EVE has no sound, doesn't matter what level you set your speakers to Oh, and the only reason I'm arrogant is because I'm usually right (or pretty damn close) Sure, I'm completely and utterly wrong every now and then, but unless proven otherwise first...
And by the way... thank you, it's nice to know somebody cares enough to hate me

Originally by: Winterblink Ah, Andromeda... such potential. That show went into the toilet so fast when the lead writer left.
HEAVILY underappreciated show. The mere idea of the Nietzscheans, for instance. Or the slipstream/slipdrive concept. And a lot more of the small things here and there. All of them, huge potential, good cast/characters too (half of them anyway). Too bad it was set to such a child-like audience, especially later in the show.
Originally by: Le Skunk Is this thread REALLY gogin on about 2 pixel wide borders. OH NOES THE BORDERS!!!!! THEY ARE RUNING MY EVE EXPERIENCE
Your meds. Take'em. Take'em fast, before you explode or something.
